Biography
Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif was born on January 15, 1929. The place of birth is Shahpur Tehsil, which is a Tehsil of Khushab District, but at that time Shahpur was a district and Khushab was a Tehsil. his father Majid's name was Malik Muhammad Arif Sahib, who belonged to the ancient and respected Awan tribe. He belonged to the Kundan, a prominent branch of the Awan tribe. According to the authentic records, it is proved that the family of Awan family goes back to Hazrat Ali Karamullah Rabiya. The members of the Kandan family used to live together in Khushab. This place is called Mahalla Kandanwala. In 1729, Muhammad Jamal, a member of this tribe, settled here. Qibla Wasif Sahab was born from his seventh back. The genealogy of Wasif Sahib till Muhammad Jamal is formed in this way. Wasif Ali Wasif, son of Muhammad Aarf, son of Muhammad Ashraf, son of Ghos Muhammad, son of Khair Muhammad, son of Gheba Khan, son of Noor Muhammad, son of Muhammad Jamal Awan. Received primary education in KhuShab. On June 1, 1942, Government High School. Passed the middle exam from Khushab. After that he came to Jhang to his maternal grandfather. He was a distinguished scholar and in his youth had worked for the Muslim League under the supervision of the Quaid-i-Azam. his father decided that the remaining education should be given to you in Jhang. During his studies in Jhang, all his good fortune blossomed and a brilliant academic career began. he used to say that "in the era of academic students, there was such a tone of confrontation that we thought it was our right to come first". At that time, Punjab University used to conduct the exam instead of the board. he took the exam under roll number 26476 and got first division. After that he passed FA on 2 January 1948 from Govt Intermediate exam. Obtained first division under roll number 7809 in this examination of Punjab University. After that passed BA on 19 December 1949 from Govt. Under Rule No. 1137. At this time, they also got the first division. This was not the time when second division was a distant thing, even passing BA was considered a big deal.
Death
Wasif Ali Wasif Sahib died on January 18, 1993, in Lahore, Pakistan, his shrine in Miani sahib Lahore
